Stephen Brink was a schoolboy prodigy who played for Free State Schools twice, captained them and also played for SA Schools. There was a lot of buzz around the young player when he made his senior debut for Free State in the mid-90’s and he lived up to the promise by scoring some fantastic tries.
In 1998 he moved to The Sharks and did well at provincial level, but injuries and a dip in form late in his career put a damper on an otherwise stellar provincial career.
He did represent The Springbok 7’s team in 1997, but never got a call up to the national 15’s team.
He is a player who could easily have played for the Springboks.
Enjoy and thanks for watching!
