Stefan Terblanche hit the South African rugby scene like a hurrican in 1998. James Small was injured and Nick Mallett needed a new right wing. Terblanche showed promise as youngster at Boland but in 1998, he got an opportunity to show the world what he could do, while playing for the Sharks in the Super 12. He scored two hat tricks during the competition and scored four tries on his Springbok debut against Ireland in Bloemfontein.
His form would continue, but he would often be left out of the national team because of selection policies. His form did dip and he went overseas in 2003, but made a terrific return to the Sharks in 2008 and he ended his career where he first made a big name for himself in 2011.
He scored some brilliant tries, and here are some of the best. Sit back and enjoy!
