Joel Stransky was very underrated as a player. I don’t think the South African public realizes what a well balances, all round player he was. He was a classic fly half who had a very good right foot that could get his side out of trouble when under pressure. He was a more than competent goal kicker, scored a good couple of tries and of course, who could remember that drop goal in 1995…
He might divide opinion, but we think Joel Stransky deserves to be recognized as one of our better fly halves that have played for the Boks.
