Transvaal were the strongest provincial rugby side in the world in 1993. They had world class players and most of them would feature in the 1995 Rugby World Cup. They won the Super 10, M-Net Nite Series, Lion Cup and Currie Cup in 1993. Lead by Francois Pienaar they played really impressive rugby. This side was coached by Kitch Christie, who would go on to coach the Springboks to World Cup glory.
This is a tribute to Transvaal’s 1993 Super 10 campaign, which they won at Ellispark against Auckland.
