Innoverende Afrikaanse ondernemings is vanjaar op Internasionale Moedertaaldag tydens Afrikaans-Vriendelik, ʼn inisiatief van die burgerregte-organisasie AfriForum, se Tinteltong Toekennings bekroon. Die Tinteltong Toekennings word toegeken aan ondernemings of mense wat dienste in Afrikaans lewer of Afrikaans op welke wyse bevorder deur kreatief met die taal om te gaan.

Die burgerregte-organisasie AfriForum se internskapprogram vir studente en jong werkendes van verskeie AfriForum Jeug-takke het vandeesweek amptelik afgeskop. Ses jongmense neem vanjaar aan dié program, wat sedert 2014 deur AfriForum aangebied word, deel. Volgens Marike van As, opleidingsbeampte van AfriForum Jeug, het die internskap ten doel om ʼn verrykende ervaring te wees wat studente blootstel aan die verskillende bedrywighede van dié burgerregte-organisasie. Tydens die internskapprogram sal interns onder meer leer hoe AfriForum en die Solidariteit-beweging se strukture werk, die geleentheid kry om saam met AfriForum se provinsiale koördineerders selfdoenprojekte aan te pak, woordvoerderopleiding ontvang en leer oor erfenisbewaring.

Learn to read, understand and pronounce Afrikaans words and sentences. This is a free Afrikaans reading course for primary school students or anybody who wishes to learn the Afrikaans language. There are in total 80 short videos: Phases 1 to 8, with 10 videos in each phase. Phase 1 contains single words and from phases 2 onward, short sentences progressing to longer sentences in phase 8. English students will find this extremely easy to use, thanks to English translations and explanations visible on every screen.
